Unit 1 Walk Through
1-1 Solving Multi-Step Equations: Multi-step equations are equations that require more than two steps to isolate the variable. To solve an equation with variables on both sides of the equal sign, you will need to add or subtract all the terms with the variable to get all the variables on one side of the equation.
1-2 Literal Equations: A literal equation is when where variables in an equation represent known values. Literal equations allow you to represent things like distance, time, interest, and slope as variables in an equation. 1-3 Solving Proportions: The matter of stating the ratios as fractions, setting the two fractions equal to each other, cross-multiplying, and solving the resulting equation. 1-4 Compound Inequalities: An equation with two or more inequalities joined together with either "and" or "or". |
